The Ngwa National Association USA, Inc. (NNAUSA) has congratulated former Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his official assumption of office as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
The congratulatory message was signed by the National President/CEO, Dr. Ugochukwu Agu
and the National Secretary, NNAUSA, Dame Chief Ihuoma Q. Uzoije and made available to newsmen today, they described Ikpeazu’s appointment as a source of pride to Nigerians, Abians and, particularly, the Ngwa people.
NNAUSA, a leading organisation of Ngwa people in the diaspora, said Ikpeazu’s appointment represented another significant milestone in the history of Ngwa sons who had contributed to Nigeria’s diplomatic service.
The association noted that the former governor had joined the ranks of distinguished Ngwa personalities who had served Nigeria in ambassadorial and other prominent diplomatic positions, including as Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
While wishing Ikpeazu success in his new assignment, NNAUSA urged him to approach the responsibility with integrity, wisdom and excellence, while prioritising Nigeria’s national interests and strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Spain.
The association expressed the hope that his tenure would promote stronger diplomatic, economic and other forms of cooperation between both countries, while bringing further honour to Ngwa, Abia State and Nigeria.
NNAUSA also prayed for divine wisdom, strength and success for the former governor throughout his tenure, expressing confidence that his service would leave a lasting legacy of diplomatic excellence.
