APC Support Groups Coalition Moves to Strengthen Coordination

The Coalition of APC Support Groups National Coordinators has commenced efforts to strengthen its organisational structure and improve coordination among member groups across the country.

The move followed a strategic meeting convened by the National Convener of the coalition, Comrade Richard M. Onyebuwa, in Abuja.

Onyebuwa said the coalition was created to provide a coordinated platform for APC support groups to collaborate, define responsibilities and organise their activities more effectively.

He said the coalition would focus on building a sustainable structure capable of supporting grassroots engagement and initiatives consistent with its objectives.

The National Convener also stressed the need for unity, continuity and collective responsibility, noting that the coalition was intended to develop into a functional and enduring organisation rather than a temporary arrangement.

He said the coalition would support initiatives aligned with the Federal Government’s broader development agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while providing avenues for grassroots participation. The APC has similarly emphasised grassroots mobilisation and wider community engagement in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Co-Convener expressed support for the initiative and called on members to work together towards achieving the coalition’s objectives.

National Directors, including the National Women Leaders, also pledged their support and readiness to contribute their experience to the development of the organisation.

The meeting reviewed issues including organisational structure, media and public relations, grassroots engagement, coordination and programmes designed to demonstrate the coalition’s activities and capacity.

Participants resolved to maintain unity and collective responsibility as the coalition continues to develop its structure and programmes.

The event also featured a renewed commitment by the National Convener, Co-Convener, National Directors, National Women Leaders and National Coordinators to work together in advancing the coalition’s objectives.
