Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Lady Valerie Fubara, has called on women across the state to prioritize physical fitness alongside their spiritual well-being.
She made the call on Thursday during a programme tagged “Fitness Thursday” organised by the Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS) at the Ecumenical Centre, Port Harcourt, ahead of their 2025 Women Converge.

Addressing the large gathering of women who turned out for the exercise session, Lady Fubara emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular workouts. According to her, “the most important thing is for you to be healthy, knowing that a healthy heart brings a healthy life.”

The event, themed “A Sound Heart Is Life to the Body,” featured various fitness activities and attracted participants from different parts of the state.

Lady Fubara also encouraged the women to continue praying and to fully engage in the forthcoming Women Converge, which she said promises to be a transformative experience for all attendees.
