A political support group in Abia State, the O.Y.O Movement, has declared its backing for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti and endorsed Dr. Chima Anyaso as its preferred candidate to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced during an event held in Igberre, Bende Local Government Area, where the group also conferred the title of Grand Patron on Dr. Anyaso in recognition of his contributions to community development.

Leader of the group, Chief Uchechukwu Oguike, said the honour was bestowed on Anyaso due to his extensive humanitarian interventions in areas such as education support, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, and business grants.

Oguike disclosed that more than 35 philanthropists were initially considered for the position, but Dr. Anyaso emerged as the most deserving based on the scale and impact of his philanthropic activities across communities.

He further assured that the O.Y.O Movement would mobilize massive support to ensure Anyaso’s victory in the 2027 elections, noting that his record of positively impacting lives even without holding public office demonstrates his capacity to provide effective and people-oriented representation if elected.

In his response, Dr. Chima Anyaso expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the movement for the recognition and support.

He urged members of the group to remain law-abiding and encouraged eligible voters across the state to revalidate their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the elections.

Anyaso also called on the people to continue supporting Governor Otti’s administration to sustain ongoing development across Abia State, while seeking their backing for his bid to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
