Gov Fubara Endorses Tinubu for 2027, Commends Economic Reforms

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that Nigeria remains in capable hands under the President’s leadership.

Fubara made the declaration on Thursday while speaking as Guest of Honour at a meeting of the Southern Traditional Rulers Council held at Galaxy La-Palm Royal Resort, GRA, Port Harcourt.

The governor said the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” has shown commitment to economic transformation and inclusive development, despite prevailing national challenges.

According to him, Nigerians should support President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 in order to sustain ongoing reforms and ensure continuity in national development.

Fubara also described the gathering of traditional rulers as a strong reflection of peace and unity in Rivers State, noting that it demonstrates the shared identity among southern states despite cultural and language differences.

He emphasized the need for stronger regional cooperation among southern leaders, explaining that collaboration would promote knowledge-sharing and accelerate progress in areas of peace, security, and development.

The governor commended the Southern Traditional Rulers Council for its role in promoting unity and protecting the collective interests of the region. He further highlighted the importance of traditional institutions as custodians of culture and vital partners in governance, particularly in peace-building and policy development.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the council and the Oni of Ife, His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, praised Governor Fubara for his respect for traditional institutions. He also reaffirmed the council’s commitment to strengthening unity, peace, and progress across southern Nigeria and the country as a whole.
