Abia Lawmaker Erondu Jnr, Applauds APC Convention, Nwankpa’s Re-election

The lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has lauded the outcome of the recent national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while congratulating Hon. Donatus Enyinnaya Nwankpa on his re-election as the party’s National Welfare Secretary.

In a release signed by his Spokesperson, George Egejuru and made available to newsmen today, the Uhie-born legislator commended the peaceful conduct and massive participation recorded at the party’s national convention, describing it as a demonstration of unity and renewed commitment among party members across the country.

Erondu Jnr, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Service Matters and a former Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, said the successful convention had further strengthened the internal cohesion of the APC ahead of future political engagements.

He particularly congratulated Hon. Nwankpa on his unopposed return as National Welfare Secretary, noting that the development reflected the confidence and trust party members have in his leadership and dedication to the growth of the APC.

The lawmaker described Nwankpa, as a committed party man whose discipline, objectivity and respect for due process have contributed significantly to the strengthening and expansion of the APC in Abia State.

Erondu Jnr also acknowledged the contributions of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu PhD, LLD, CFR, and other Leaders in repositioning the party in the state, stressing that the collaboration among party leaders has helped make the APC more visible and competitive in Abia’s political landscape.

He expressed optimism that with credible and experienced leaders like Nwankpa in strategic positions, the APC would continue to consolidate its structures and remain formidable ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Erondu Jnr further urged party stakeholders to sustain the spirit of unity, transparency and inclusiveness in decision-making, adding that such values would strengthen the party and inspire greater confidence among members and supporters.
