Libyan Football Federation (LFF), has appealed the decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), to award Nigeria three goals and three goals over their botched 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Information gathered from a Libyan outlet, alwasat.ly, they considered CAF sanction meted on their team as unfair.
They hired Tunisian lawyer, Ali Abbas, to defend its position in the case.
Recall that the Match Day 4 fixture, scheduled to be played in Benina on October 15, was cancelled after the Nigerian delegation saw their flight diverted.
Players and officials of the Super Eagles were then held hostage in an abandoned airport for at least 17 hours.
LFF have also been ordered to pay a fine of $50,000, with payment due within 60 days of notification of the present decision.
