Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in the 2023 Abia State gubernatorial election, has applauded Governor Alex Otti for what he described as remarkable achievements within two years in office.

Speaking during a meetings with the YPP state leadership and key stakeholders from Bende Local Government Area, Anyaso commended the governor’s infrastructural development and policy initiatives, describing them as transformative and commendable.

He noted that the democratic framework in Abia State and Nigeria affirms the will of the majority, adding that Governor Otti’s administration is setting a high bar that is challenging opposition parties to redefine their roles within the state’s democratic space.

“Governor Otti’s performance has been exceptional, and his achievements are posing a serious challenge to those who have built their politics around constant criticism. His results speak volumes,” Anyaso stated.

The Igbere-born businessman and politician emphasized that despite the presence of a few dissenting voices, the vast majority of Abians remain firmly in support of Governor Otti’s leadership. He criticized some opposition figures for their unwillingness to acknowledge the governor’s progress, labeling such resistance as politically motivated and unconstructive.

Anyaso, who has long advocated for good governance and infrastructure development in the Bende Federal Constituency, praised the governor’s projects including ongoing road constructions, renovation of hospitals and schools, as well as the implementation of free basic education across the state.

As Abia marks Governor Otti’s second anniversary in office, Anyaso extended his congratulations to the governor, members of the state executive council, political appointees, and the people of Abia State, wishing them continued progress and prosperity.
