Anyaso Urges Voter Registration to Sustain Otti’s Gains

Astute businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has urged residents of Abia State to prioritise voter registration over social media commendations if they intend to sustain the current administration’s achievements.

In a February message to the public, the Chairman of CAADES Group and founder of the Chima Anyaso Foundation called for a shift from rhetoric to civic action, stressing that while Governor Alex Otti’s developmental strides deserve recognition, admiration alone cannot guarantee political continuity.

Describing recent endorsements and public receptions as largely symbolic, Anyaso cautioned that elections are won not by statements but by votes.

“Such gatherings and big statements alone do not win elections; it is indeed the PVCs that do,” he stated. “Faith without works is dead.”

He emphasised that the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) remains the only legitimate tool for expressing political will, urging eligible residents who have yet to register to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration process.

Anyaso, who leads the Ofuji Movement, reiterated his commitment to grassroots mobilisation across the state. The movement, which operates with structured ward executives statewide, is expected to play a significant role in galvanising voter participation ahead of future elections.

Framing his message around civic responsibility and sustained progress, he maintained that active participation in the democratic process is essential to consolidating the gains recorded under the present administration.

Beyond the political call to action, Anyaso also extended warm wishes to residents at the start of the new month, encouraging unity, productivity and shared goodwill.

“Life appears seamless as we engage in our daily pursuits; let us continue to share love and joy together,” he said.

He concluded by reminding citizens that meaningful change is secured not by applause, but by participation at the polls.
