The Eastern Zone Elders Forum on Monday received a spokesperson aspirant of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Johnmartins Ijere, during a consultation visit, where they offered prayers and goodwill for his ambition.
Ijere, while addressing the elders, expressed his readiness to serve as spokesman of the council, pledging to be a strong and credible voice for the Ijaw people if elected.
He assured the forum that his leadership would reflect the collective will and aspirations of the Ijaw Nation, adding that he remains committed to advancing the interests of the people.
Responding on behalf of the elders, Chief Adokiye Tam-Micah Igbile commended Ijere for his dedication and continued service to the Ijaw Nation, describing him as a committed and promising leader.
The elders subsequently offered prayers and blessings for his aspiration, wishing him success in his pursuit.
