Gov Fubara Appoints Five Permanent Secretaries to Strengthen Rivers Civil Service
Rivers State Government has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.
The approval was granted by the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, according to a Government Special Announcement issued on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, by the Head of the Rivers State Civil Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Inyingi Brown.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Dr. Vincent Worgu Wachukwu, Mrs. Cordelia Uwuma Eke, Mr. Ifeanyi Anthony Ogboma, Dr. Mina Gogo Jim-Jaja, and Mr. Henry Uzor.
The statement noted that the appointments take immediate effect and form part of the administration’s commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency across ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) in the state.
It further disclosed that the newly appointed officials are scheduled to be sworn in by Governor Fubara on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The appointments are expected to reinforce the operational capacity of the state civil service and support the government’s drive toward effective and responsive public administration.
