Gov Fubara Restores Electricity In Woji Community After 3 years
Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has ended the prolonged power outage in Eletor, Woji community, by donating a brand new 33kva transformer.
The donation, made on behalf of the Governor by the Commissioner for power, Hon. Prince Solomon Abel Eke, is part of Governor Fubara’s commitment to ensuring 24-hour power supply across Rivers State.
Hon. Eke noted that Governor Fubara swiftly approved the transformer after receiving a heartfelt appeal from the community, which had endured over 36 months without electricity, ” the Governor has also graciously covered the installation costs. After installation, a routine check will be conducted to assess the power distribution in the area, and if necessary, an additional transformer will be provided to prevent overloading”, he said
Prince Promise Wobo Eke JP, a native of the community, expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for his timely intervention. He revealed that the community had been plunged into darkness ever since the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution (PHED) company removed their transformer for repairs three years ago, never to return it.
Surveyor Chioma Kingsley, the community’s youth president, also expressed thanks to Governor Fubara for his intervention. He assured that the community would ensure the safety of the new transformer and pledged Woji’s unwavering support for the Fubara administration. Kingsley further urged all Rivers people to continue praying for the Governor as he delivers more democratic dividends to the state.
