Groups Condole With Lawmaker, Erondu Jnr Over Brother’s Demise

Well-meaning Abians and Nigerians have continued to pay their condolences to the family of Late Elder Azubuike Erondu who passed on June 2, 2024.

The National Welfare Secretary of All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Donatus Nwankpa in his remark yesterday at Mgboko Umuanunu, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) Abia State, described the death as a monumental loss not just to the family but to the entire Abia State, extolling the deceased virtues.

Meanwhile, the erstwhile Chief of staff to immediate past Abia state Governor, Prof. Anthony C.B. Agbazuere, has described Late Elder Azubuike Erondu as a man of peaceful disposition with impeccable brotherhood characters, expressing rude shock over his demise.

“He was a man of peace who will be remembered for his candor, open-mindedness and the bridges of understanding he built across cultural and political boundaries among others”, he further stated.

The Traditional Ruler, Mgboko Umuanunu ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Obioma Isaac Nwakanma (Middle), Erondu Jnr (1st Right), among others during the visit.

Also the Uhie stakeholders led by Hon. Ezinwa Abiri, Osondu Nwaigwe, A.G. Nwanorue, Chiemela Moses among others, paid similar visit to the deceased family, describing the death of Late Elder Azubuike Erondu as an irreparable loss to the Uhie people.

On his part, the traditional ruler, Mgboko Umuanunu ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Obioma Isaac Nwakanma (PhD), who led village heads and youths, eulogized the deceased, saying that he was a distinguished community leader who sacrificed a lot for the development of the community.

He, however, lamented that his demise came at a time the community and Abia State was in dire need of patriots and leaders like Late Azubuike Erondu.

In their separate remarks, Elder Elisha Uzuegbu and Pastor Chukwuemeka Ulelu of United Evangelical Church (UEC) who expressed sadness over the demise, described Late Azubuike Erondu as a man of peaceful and honest disposition both in public and private lives.

They regretted why the deceased would pass away now when his wealth of experience and wise counsel would be most needed to the body of Christ.

Contributing, Igodo Igwe Foundation, led by the Coordinator, Hon. Ukpom Prince Ezenwoke has also paid a condolences visit to the deceased family, describing the death of Late Azubuike Erondu as an irreparable loss to community and Abia state at large.

They all prayed God to consoled the immediate family, community and grant the faithful departed eternal rest.

In his response, the lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State constituency in Abia state House of Assembly (ABHA) and the younger brother of the deceased; Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, thanked the people for the show of love to the family in these trying times.

He noted that the death of his Elder brother was one that has traumatized him, the entire Erondu family and the community, owing to his immense heart of love for everyone irrespective of age, gender or religious denominations.

The chairman, House Committee on Public Service also revealed that the funeral activities for the deceased have been scheduled to hold between November 28 and 29, 2024 at his country home, Azuogwugwu Village, Mgboko Umuanunu Ancient Kingdom, Obingwa LGA, Abia state.

Highpoints of the condolences were prayers made for the family.
