The Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyomie, has offered prayers for Rivers State and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, declaring that the protracted political crisis in the state has come to an end.
The cleric made the declaration on Thursday, January 22, 2026, during Day Four of the church’s annual programme, Glory Reign, held at the Global Headquarters of Salvation Ministries.
Pastor Ibiyomie said the challenges confronting Rivers State had gone beyond human solution but had now been resolved through divine intervention. According to him, God has intervened to break the chain of events responsible for political instability and restore peace to the state.
He further declared that what he described as a recurring “curse of succession conflict” between former and incumbent leaders had been broken. Drawing from past experiences, the pastor recalled that the Ijaw nation once faced a pattern of one-term governorship, a trend he said was overturned through prayers during the administration of former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson.
Urging Governor Fubara to remain steadfast, Ibiyomie assured him that the situation was under divine control and that no human force could overturn the will of God.
“I pray that every evil hand over Rivers State be broken, and I decree peace in Rivers State. It is beyond any human force; therefore, I declare that the storm is over,” the pastor proclaimed.
The prayer session was met with loud affirmations from worshippers, as the cleric expressed confidence that peace, stability, and good governance would prevail in Rivers State.
