Senator John Azuta-Mbata has engraved his name in history as the first Ikwerre man to be elected President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. His election, held in Enugu, was quickly recognized globally as Wikipedia promptly updated his status as the leader of the Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also extended his congratulations to Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his historic election.
