Ndoki Council of Chiefs Commends Lawmaker Obianyi, Pledges Support for Gov Otti

The Ndoki Council of Chiefs in Ukwa East State Constituency has passed a vote of confidence in the member representing the constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Lewis Obianyi, as well as the Governor of Abia State, Alex Chioma Otti.

The vote of confidence was announced by the President of the Ndoki Council of Chiefs, Hon. Chief Nkem Ogwo, on behalf of the council. He commended Hon. Obianyi for what he described as impactful representation and visible development projects across Ukwa East.

Ogwo highlighted key projects facilitated by the lawmaker, including the Akirika Obu Market, the ongoing Obohia Ndoki Mini Stadium, and the construction of classroom blocks in Akanu and Mpkorobe communities. He described the projects as significant steps toward infrastructural growth and grassroots development in the constituency.

The council also praised the lawmaker’s commitment to human capital development, particularly in the education sector. They expressed appreciation for his sponsorship of registration fees for 870 Ndoki pupils in the First School Leaving Certificate and Common Entrance Examinations.

In addition, the chiefs commended Obianyi for enrolling 10 additional Ndoki students into his tertiary scholarship scheme to study Marine Engineering at Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba.

Encouraging the lawmaker to remain steadfast, the council urged him to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ukwa East. They reaffirmed their confidence in his leadership and that of Governor Otti, assuring both leaders of their support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In his response, Hon. Obianyi thanked the council for the endorsement and reiterated his commitment to effective representation. He assured constituents that the anticipated visit of Governor Otti to Ukwa East would usher in new developmental initiatives with positive and lasting impact on the area.
