The Forum of Former National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) Chairmen has congratulated Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo over his victory as the Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA.
They also lauded Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara for his commitment to empowering young people and changing the leadership narrative in Rivers State.
The leader of the delegation, Comrade Daniel Obo Jr., who disclosed during the group viait at Obio-Akpor Local Government Council headquarters added that they were not surprise, given his leadership in NYCN.
They thanked Governor Fubara for uplifting the youth, making it possible for young leaders to take charge.
Comrade Bello Sherrif added, “We’re here from all parts of the country to support you. You’ve moved beyond NYCN and are now leading an entire LGA and we have no doubt you will make us proud.”
Ambassador Ihunwo expressed gratitude, promising to deliver on his mandate and make Obio/Akpor proud. He thanked Governor Fubara for the opportunity, emphasizing that 70% of Rivers LGA chairmen are youths, thanks to the Governor’s vision for youth empowerment.
