We’ll Watch Over Rivers Affairs With Fear Of God – Gov Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has said that through the grace of God he and his team are watching over the affairs of Rivers State with the fear of God.

Governor Fubara stated this in a remark at the dedication of Mr. Henry Ordu’s baby girl at the Royal House of Grace, Port Harcourt on Sunday.

The governor pointed out that his government is standing by the grace and mercy of God and will only continue to depend on God to watch over the State with every sense of accountability and the understanding that one day he will leave office.

“When you are watching, you can’t be obsessed. It is when you are controlling that you become obsessed. When you are watching, you know that one day you will leave for another to take over and you will watch with the fear of God.”

“And I will make everyone of you proud. I will make the difference in leadership and that difference is giving everybody the opportunity to be free in this State.”

He emphasised that God has taken charge of the State with the liberation of the people, stressing that he will continue to uphold what is right and just for the interest of the State.

While appreciating the Church across the state for standing by his government with consistent prayers, Governor Fubara said it is important to also support the work of God and donated on behalf of Rivers State government the sum of N100million to the Royal House of Grace to upgrade its auditorium.

He commended Mr. Henry Ordu for the dedication of his baby before God, adding that a successful father is not measured by the wealth, money or houses owned but by the number of worthy children that surrounds him.

Speaking earlier the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa called for concerted prayers for Governor Siminalayi Fubara as a man with a good heart and committed to the well-being of the people.

He further asked the people as Christians to continue to pray for the peace and security of the nation especially the Armed forces in order to ensure the peace and prosperity of the nation.

On his part, Apostle Zilly Aggrey commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his commitment to peace and development of the state, and assured that the Church will continue to pray for his government and that of the Federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed.
