The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, was warmly received in Bende Federal Constituency on Thursday during a highly anticipated visit that drew political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, and enthusiastic residents.
Welcoming the Governor, prominent businessman and political figure, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, described the visit as historic and deeply symbolic. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anyaso lauded Governor Otti’s leadership as “transformational, disciplined, and empathetic,” commending the administration’s strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic reform, and civil service revitalization.
“Your visit today is not ceremonial—it is a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between your visionary leadership and the unwavering support of the people of Bende,” Dr. Anyaso stated. “In just two years, you have rekindled hope in governance and restored dignity to public service.”
Highlighting the positive impact of the Governor’s administration on Bende, Dr. Anyaso noted visible improvements in road networks, educational institutions, and healthcare systems, adding that the people are beginning to “believe again” in the promise of good governance.
In a strong declaration of political solidarity, Dr. Anyaso pledged his full support to Governor Otti’s administration, emphasizing that his commitment stems not from convenience or compulsion, but from conviction.
“I stand before you to declare, boldly and unequivocally, my total support for your administration. I am committed to walking this journey with you, no matter how tough it gets. Bende is solidly behind you,” he affirmed.
The event was attended by members of the State Executive Council, lawmakers from both state and national levels, traditional leaders, and party faithfuls, all of whom echoed a shared vision for a progressive and inclusive Abia State.
Dr. Anyaso concluded his remarks by expressing hope that the Governor’s visit would further strengthen the resolve to build “an Abia that works for all—where governance is not a privilege for the few, but a promise kept to the many.”
