Enugu Gov, Peter Mbah Approves N80,000 Minimum Wage
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has disclosed the approval of a new minimum wage of N80,000 for workers in the state, adding that it will take effect from October 2024.
The Governor disclosed via his official Twitter handle, emphasizing the importance of supporting the hardworking state employees.
In his tweet, Governor Mbah stated:
”I have just approved a minimum wage of N80,000 for Enugu workers, effective October 2024. We appreciate the hard work and sacrifices of the state’s workforce and will continue to prioritize their welfare in line with our campaign promises.”
This decision aligns with the Governor’s commitment to improving the welfare of public servants, a key pledge during his election campaign. The new wage policy is expected to ease the financial burden on workers and enhance productivity across all sectors of the state’s workforce.
