Enyimba FC of Aba, the Aba Elephant, continued their difficult start to the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season on Sunday, remaining without a win after playing out a goalless draw with Kano Pillars.
The Matchday 6 encounter, played at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, ended 0–0, leaving the Aba-based side still searching for their first victory of the campaign.
Enyimba went into the fixture having suffered defeats in their opening four league matches, including losses to Niger Tornadoes, Doma United, Inter Lagos and Sporting Lagos.
Despite their struggles, the People’s Elephant managed to keep a clean sheet against Kano Pillars and secured their first point of the season.
Neither side could break the deadlock during the encounter, as both teams failed to convert their opportunities into goals.
The result means Enyimba remain winless after six league matches, with the club now needing to turn their fortunes around in their subsequent fixtures.
For Kano Pillars, the draw represented another point gained at home, although they would have been hoping to claim maximum points against an Enyimba side yet to record a league victory this season.
Enyimba will now turn their attention to their next NPFL fixture as they continue their search for a first win of the campaign.
