Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has urged the newly appointed Special Advisers to embrace teamwork and remain fully committed to the vision of his administration, emphasizing that effective governance requires collective effort and dedication.
The governor made the remarks on Friday, January 2, at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, after administering the oath of office to five advisers: Barrister Eloka Tasie-Amadi, Professor Peter Medee, Barrister Emmanuel Frank Fubara, Hon. Victor Ekaro, and Dr. Darlington Orji.

Governor Fubara explained that the appointments were strategic, aimed at strengthening collaboration within government and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the state’s administrative machinery. “We have deliberately brought these individuals on board because they are familiar with the philosophy and direction of this administration,” he said. “They understand our goals and are well positioned to help us achieve them.”
He stressed that the appointments were not ceremonial but a call to meaningful service. “Effective governance is built on shared responsibility, discipline, and hard work. This is not about pleasure; it is about delivering results for Rivers people,” the governor said.
Governor Fubara expressed confidence that the new advisers would work cohesively to translate the administration’s vision into tangible outcomes, reaffirming his commitment to purposeful leadership and people-centered service delivery across the state.
