The lawmaker representing Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jr., has congratulated former Abia State Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, describing the development as well deserved.
Erondu Jnr. said the appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a recognition of Ikpeazu’s proven leadership capacity, wealth of experience and distinguished pedigree in public service.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Spokesperson, George Egejuru and made available to newsmen, the Abia lawmaker noted that Ikpeazu’s years in office as Governor of Abia State were marked by dedication to governance, economic growth and the overall advancement of the people.
According to him, the former governor demonstrated commitment and resilience in the discharge of his responsibilities, leaving behind a legacy of service that continues to inspire many within and beyond the state.
The former Chairman, Obingwa LGA stated that Ikpeazu’s intellectual depth, administrative competence and vast experience in governance make him eminently qualified to represent Nigeria on the global stage.
He expressed confidence that the former governor would deploy his wealth of experience, diplomatic tact and leadership qualities to strengthen bilateral relations and foster greater cooperation between Nigeria and Spain.
The lawmaker further noted that Ikpeazu’s appointment would not only enhance Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement with Spain but would also project the country positively in the international community.
Erondu Jnr., on behalf of the people of Obingwa West State Constituency and his family, extended heartfelt congratulations to the former governor and wished him a successful and impactful tenure as Nigeria’s envoy.
He prayed for wisdom, strength and good health for Ikpeazu as he assumes the responsibility of promoting Nigeria’s interests and deepening diplomatic ties between both nations.
