The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service Matters in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, for what he described as exemplary leadership that ensured the successful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward, local government and state congresses in Abia State.
In a congratulatory message, Erondu Jnr. said Kalu demonstrated remarkable leadership by bringing together party leaders, stakeholders and members across the state to ensure that the congresses were conducted peacefully and successfully.
The member representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in Abia state House of Assembly, also noted that the Deputy Speaker’s commitment to unity, dialogue and inclusiveness strengthened the party and created an atmosphere of peace and stability that characterized the entire exercise.
According to him, the peaceful and rancour-free congresses were a clear demonstration that great achievements are possible when leaders place the collective interest of the party above personal considerations.
Erondu also commended party leaders, stakeholders and numerous APC faithful across Abia State for sustaining the peace and stability that made the congresses smooth and, according to him, “for the first time rancour-free.”
He praised their patience, discipline and commitment to the unity of the party, describing their conduct throughout the process as highly commendable.
The lawmaker further expressed confidence in the leadership of the newly elected party executives led by Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, stating that they would work collectively at the ward, local government and state levels to further strengthen the structure of the APC in Abia State.
The former Chairman, Obingwa LGA, added that such efforts would help position the party for greater successes in the future.
The Uhie-born legislator further reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, pledging his continued support for initiatives aimed at strengthening the party and advancing its ideals for the benefit of the people and the overall progress of Abia State.
