The Lawmaker, representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has congratulated former Abia State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his nomination as an Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Erondu Jnr described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Ikpeazu’s years of dedicated public service, proven leadership, and contributions to the development of Abia State and Nigeria. He noted that the nomination reflects the confidence reposed in the former governor’s capacity to represent the nation with honour, dignity, and excellence.
The former Chairman, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), expressed confidence that Ikpeazu would bring his diplomatic experience, administrative competence, and bridge-building skills to bear in strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations and advancing the country’s strategic interests on the global stage.
In his words: “On behalf of my family and the good people of Obingwa-West (Uhie) State Constituency, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes,” he said.
Erondu prayed for God’s wisdom and grace for Ikpeazu as he prepares to assume his new national assignment, describing him as Ogbuhere Uzo Ndi Ngwa and wishing him a successful tenure.
