NYCN Felicitates with Governor Fubara on 51st Birthday, Hails Youth-Focused Leadership
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has congratulated His Excellency, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, on the occasion of his 51st birthday, lauding his exceptional commitment to youth development and empowerment.
In a statement signed by the NYCN President, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, the council described Governor Fubara as “arguably the most youth-friendly governor in the country,” citing his policies and programs designed to help young people in Rivers State realize their full potential and achieve their life goals.
Amb. Sukubo highlighted several initiatives under Governor Fubara’s administration, particularly the recently launched School-to-Land Agrobusiness Training Scheme for Youths, describing it as a “game-changer” that equips the youth with employable skills and practical expertise to tackle unemployment and become self-reliant entrepreneurs.
According to the NYCN, Governor Fubara’s visionary leadership has fostered a culture of innovation, reduced youth restiveness, and created avenues for meaningful engagement, contributing significantly to the growth and development of Rivers State and Nigeria at large, despite the inherent challenges of governance.
“We celebrate your tireless efforts to empower the youth, Sir, and pray for your continued guidance, wisdom, and success in leading Rivers State to greater heights,” the statement added.
Governor Fubara, who has been recognized nationally for his transformative leadership, turns 51 on Wednesday, 28th January 2026.
