Questions over aviation safety and military flight operations have intensified following the crash of a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft near Igbokoda in Ondo State.
Recovery teams have deployed divers, sonar equipment and drones in efforts to locate and recover parts of the aircraft and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The crash has also renewed calls for a comprehensive investigation into military aviation safety, including aircraft maintenance, operational procedures and emergency response.
