UNILAG Honours Anyaso with Bronze Partnership Award
The University of Lagos (UNILAG), through its School of Postgraduate Studies, has honoured renowned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and distinguished alumnus, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, popularly known as Ofuji Ndi Igbo, with the prestigious Bronze Partnership Award.
The award recognises his unwavering support for academic excellence, research development, and institutional growth within the university community.

Dr. Anyaso, who earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UNILAG, described the recognition as deeply personal, noting that the institution played a pivotal role in shaping his leadership philosophy and professional journey. He said the university refined his vision, strengthened his values, and instilled in him the discipline that has guided his success in business and public life.
According to him, giving back to the institution that contributed significantly to his development is not only a privilege but also a responsibility.

The Bronze Partnership Award is conferred on individuals and partners whose contributions have significantly strengthened academic advancement, research initiatives, and sustainable collaborations between the university and external stakeholders. The School of Postgraduate Studies emphasised that Dr. Anyaso’s consistent support for academic programmes and his commitment to impactful partnerships distinguished him among other nominees.

University officials noted that alumni such as Dr. Anyaso exemplify the evolving model of higher education partnerships in Nigeria, where private sector leaders collaborate closely with academic institutions to promote innovation, excellence, and global competitiveness.
Widely respected for his contributions to education, youth empowerment, and leadership development across Nigeria, Dr. Anyaso has continued to leverage his platform to advance initiatives that promote capacity building and nation-building. His recognition by UNILAG, observers say, reflects not only his loyalty to his alma mater but also his broader legacy of service.
In his remarks, Dr. Anyaso expressed gratitude to the university management and the School of Postgraduate Studies for the honour, reaffirming his commitment to deepening collaborations that will empower future leaders and further strengthen UNILAG’s postgraduate ecosystem.
The event further underscored the university’s resolve to foster strategic partnerships with alumni and stakeholders who share its vision of academic excellence and sustainable development.
