The All Progressives Congress (APC) Abia South Senatorial Candidate, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has felicitated Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day.
He called for renewed patriotism, unity, and commitment to strengthening the nation’s democratic institutions.
In a Democracy Day message signed by his Spokesperson, George Egejuru and made available to newsmen today, Erondu Jnr described June 12 as a historic symbol of the sacrifices made by Nigerians in the pursuit of democratic governance and freedom.
He noted that Democracy Day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility of citizens to uphold democratic values, respect the rule of law, and promote good governance for the benefits of all Nigerians.
The lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for what he described as bold and transformative reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and economic prosperity.
According to him, despite the challenges associated with implementing far-reaching reforms, the President has demonstrated courage, vision, and unwavering commitment to building a stronger economy, expanding opportunities for citizens, and ensuring that the dividends of democracy are felt across the country.
The Chairman, Obingwa Local Government Area, expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s resolve to sustain the reforms and deepen democratic governance in a manner that would guarantee a more prosperous and inclusive future for Nigerians.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, we must recommit ourselves to the ideals of freedom, justice, national unity, and good governance that define our democratic journey,” he stated.
The APC Chieftain, further urged Nigerians to draw inspiration from the significance of June 12 by embracing patriotism and collective determination towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
He wished Nigerians a happy Democracy Day and called for continued support for efforts geared towards advancing democratic governance and national development.
