The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Council, will hold its monthly congress on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the NUJ Press Centre, No. 66 Aba Road, Umuahia.
The congress, scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m., will have the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, as Special Guest.
In a statement signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Chidi Asonye, and Secretary, Comrade Iyke Onuegbu, mnipr, members of the union, including veteran journalists, were urged to attend the congress en masse.
The council said the gathering would provide an opportunity for members to deliberate on issues affecting the union and the journalism profession in the state.
All members are therefore expected to be present and participate actively in the proceedings.
