The terrorist group Boko Haram has threatened to intensify its attacks, urging people to convert or face further violence in a video currently circulating online.
The group claimed that its activities are rooted in what it described as the teachings of Prophet Muhammad on jihad.
The video was first shared online by a former member of the Nigerian special forces, Daniel Somtochukwu, and shows armed fighters dressed in camouflage issuing warnings of impending attacks.
In the footage, the insurgents declared that more assaults would be carried out across different parts of the world, with particular emphasis on Nigeria’s northeastern region, especially Borno State.
Reports indicate that the video was recorded on April 6, 2026, but only gained widespread attention on April 14 after it began circulating on social media platforms.
The threat comes shortly after the group released several disturbing videos showing kidnapped victims, including men, women and children.
Security analysts say the renewed propaganda could signal an attempt by the insurgent group to spread fear and project strength amid ongoing military operations against insurgency in the region.
