All is now set for Gov Siminalayi Joseph Fubara to swear in newly elected Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen in Rivers State.
This was disclosed via a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, revealing that the event would hold at the Executive Council Chambers of the state’s Government House in Port Harcourt, by 4:00 pm.
The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), had declared winners of the LG elections, with 22 of 23 LGAs won by the Action Peoples Party (APP).
The release further reads: “His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Governor of Rivers State, will today Sunday, October 6, 2024, swear-in the newly elected Council Chairmen at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, by 4:00 pm.
“The newly elected Chairmen, along with one (1) guest each, are expected to be seated by 3:30 pm.
