Corps Members To Receive Newly Upgraded Monthly Allowance Soon – NYSC DG
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members nation wide would soon receive a minimum wage of N77,000.
The Director-General, NYSC, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, disclosed this yesterday, while commissioning a staff bus donated by a company named, Capital Express Insurance.
He maintained that arrangements for the increased allowance had been finalized, emphasizing that corps members’ welfare and security remain his top priorities.
“By 2025, corps members will receive all the benefits they deserve. Their security and welfare are my primary focus,”
He also underscored the importance of the newly donated bus to the scheme and staff was to ease transportation issues.
Earlier in his remark, the Chief Executive Officer, Capital Express Insurance company, Mr. Matthew Ogwezhi, said the scheme and his company have been in partnership for a while and the donation was part of the partnership to support the activities of the scheme.
He maintained that the company made the donation to enhance staff transportation to and fro work as the price of fuel and transportation has become expensive in the Abuja metropolis.
He also said that the legacy of every organization is the impact they make in the society they find themselves, hence, they should always give back to the society.
