ADC Elects New State Executives in Abia Congress
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has held its state congress in Abia State, where it elected new executives to steer the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The congress, which took place in Umuahia, produced Barr. Kalu Kalu Agu as state chairman through a voice vote, alongside other members of the state executive committee.
In his acceptance speech, Agu called for unity among party members, pledging to reconcile all aggrieved stakeholders and reposition the party for electoral success in the state.
“A house divided against itself cannot stand. We will bring every aggrieved member back to our fold,” he said.

Chairman of the Congress Committee, Fredrick Onwe, said the exercise was conducted in accordance with party guidelines and expressed confidence in the party’s growing stability in Abia State.
Also speaking, the State Publicity Secretary, Francess Ogbonnaya, noted that the party was already working to field credible candidates for the governorship and other elective positions in the 2027 elections.

Other newly constituted Abia State ADC executive committee includes Obinna Okey (Deputy Chairman), Mrs. Uwaoma Olenwa Ngwa (Secretary), Henry Nduaka (Deputy Secretary), Nwogu Nna Nwogu (Treasurer), Pastor John Ukeh (Deputy Treasurer), Ndubuka Roland Ugochukwu (Financial Secretary), Moses Enyioko (Deputy Financial Secretary), Engr. Solomon Alozie (Organizing Secretary), Simon Onyeje (Deputy Organizing Secretary), Barr. Osundu Okoroafor (Auditor), Hon. Ugochukwu Nwaeke (State Coordinator, Electoral Matters & INEC Liaison), Chinweikpe Joseph (Deputy Auditor), Barr. Okechukwu Edede (Legal Adviser), Barr. Azubuike Emenike (Deputy Legal Adviser), Frances Ogbonnaya (Publicity Secretary), Frank Udeagha (Deputy Publicity Secretary), and Odilamma Florence Onuoha (Women Leader).
The congress is part of ongoing efforts by the ADC to strengthen its structure and consolidate its political base in Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
