Members of the OFUJI Movement, with support from the Chima Anyaso Foundation, have continued a weekly outreach programme across wards in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, providing food items and financial assistance to residents during the Lenten season.

The initiative, which has run for the past three weeks, involves visits to different wards every Sunday, where each ward receives food supplies alongside a cash donation of ₦500,000 aimed at supporting vulnerable members of the community.

The outreach train on Sunday moved to Igbere Ward A and Ward B, where residents turned out in large numbers to benefit from the programme. Organisers described the response as overwhelming, noting visible excitement and appreciation among beneficiaries.

Though unavoidably absent at the event, a key figure in the movement expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support the people, describing the initiative as a reflection of the values of sacrifice, compassion and love associated with the Lenten season.

The outreach is part of ongoing efforts by the OFUJI Movement and its partners to provide relief and strengthen community support systems across Bende Local Government Area.

The organisers also reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining humanitarian efforts within Bende Federal Constituency, while calling for continued unity and support among residents.
